The NeuroScience Innovation Foundation will Benefit from Fifth Annual Chattanooga Motorcar Festival Oct. 11-13

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (August 14, 2024) – The NeuroScience Innovation Foundation has been named the charitable beneficiary of the 2024 Chattanooga Motorcar Festival, hosted by Fifty Plus Foundation Inc., on October 11-13.

Funds raised at the Fifth Annual Festival will benefit the three components of the Chattanooga-based NeuroScience Innovation Foundation:

  • Basic Science Research
  • Biomedical and Clinical Innovation
  • Education for Professionals and Patients

The Foundation supports high-impact neuroscience research initiatives with grant awards to outstanding scientists engaged in biomedical studies at facilities in the U.S. and overseas. Areas of interest are focused on Alzheimer’s Disease and Ischemic Stroke.

In recent years, the Brain, Immunology and Glia (“BIG”) Lab at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis has been a major recipient of NeuroScience Innovation Foundation support. In addition, the Foundation is a major underwriter of the international Neuroimmunology Seminar, jointly sponsored by the BIG Lab and the Weizmann Institute in Israel.

The Foundation also pursues research of its own. Internal scientific studies are led by Foundation President Thomas Devlin, MD, PhD. A fundraising gala will be held at The Westin Chattanooga on Saturday, October 12. A link to purchase tickets for the gala will be available soon.
The weekend activities, which are based in and around Chattanooga’s West Village, include Broad Arrow Auctions in the Convention Center, and Luftgekühlt returns to celebrate air-cooled Porsches.

Other happenings during the Festival include activities for children and adults, celebrity meet and greets, car club gatherings, specialty displays, Concours d’Lemons, street festivals, a parade, and more.
